We are very pleased to introduce the Earl.
The Earl has been introduced for several reasons. We wanted a quality Penny Loafer on our site, and have looked at many other makes and styles. We decided on these, because the company that make them for us, also make the Duke Tassel Loafer for us, and these have gone down very well, with many remarks about the excellent quality.
The shoes feature on the heel part leather and rubber (which you can see in the pics), making them great for the dance floor. Other features include stitching on the heel back, and the Beef roll on the front is very well done and super smooth.
You will not be disappointed by the quality.
The leather used on these, and all of the Modshoes range, means you may only have a short “wearing in” time. We mention this because, once worn in, the supple leather makes the shoes almost as comfortable as slippers.

We use the following size conversions. Please be aware that different designs are designed to be bigger than others. We try our best on the product page to mention sizing.

Please Note that are shoes are made mainly in Spain & Portugal and Euro to UK Conversion means that the shoes normally come up a little big. The reason is that a 43, is more like 9 and 1/4.

I have recently bought a pair of penny loafers, the Earl style in Oxblood they are an excellent pair of shoes of which I have received many compliments as to how smart they look with jeans , my only gripe I have is that they tend to be slightly tight fitting so wearing them around the house to break them in helps to stretch them enough to comfortably wear, I am currently awaiting the black version to be back in stock and I will be buying those as well

These are great shoes. A little wider than that other brand of penny Loafer and much better fit for me.

I wanted shoe with a leather sole for northern sole dancing. They took a couple of nights to “break in” but then felt really comfortable. These shoes have been to many soul nights and have been danced in for many hours. They still look great, have kept there shape and polish up like new. I love them because they are understated and smart but most importantly cool. This was the most money I have ever spent on a pair of shoes but excellent value because the quality is so good,I can highly recomend
