The “Lola” Mary-Jane style shoe, has been one of our most popular creations. The winning combination of 1960’s chic, with the added bonus of day long comfort, has made the Lola a “must have” shoe.
Many of our lovely customers had told us of their struggles to find vintage shoes that are comfortable. The Lola is based on an original vintage shoe, but with the benefits of modern day construction and comfort. A classic patent shoe complements so many outfits, retro or modern. The Lola is perfect for weddings, work or formal occasions, or dancing the night away at Mod Weekenders!
The Lola has a sturdy 5 cm heel, is of regular width, and has a gel insole for comfort. They are made by our lovely people in Spain, a small factory that make the designs exclusively for us at Mod Shoes.

My new Lolas were just delivered! They’re so pretty and comfortable, can’t wait to wear them properly. I’m so happy I decided to buy them in euro36 instead of my normal 37. The customer service told me that the Lolas and Fayes are by the same maker and are a bit long in size, which checks out because I have a pair of the Fayes in 37 and they’re a little loose. So, good that I went with 36 with these :)

I have purchased two pairs of Lola to go with everything and I am incredibly pleased. The shoes look and feel high quality right out of the box. Now I have worn them quite a few times… and I can say they are, indeed, high quality. I’ve walked with them for a few days straight, in Paris, in bad weather, on all types of ground, in public transportation… the shoes were extremely comfortable and did not suffer at all. Of course I got some very tiny blisters (which has to do with the fact that the shoes were brand new) but it is NOTHING compared to some other new shoes of other brands I have worn.
I am an international customer and sure, it may be quite tricky when it comes to returns and refunds (may I suggest adding a sizing guide to help ?) but it is definitely worth it and I’d recommend it to anyone. These shoes are unique, high quality, comfortable, everything you could dream of !
