“The Lola” Mary-Jane style shoe, has been one of our most popular creations. The winning combination of 1960’s chic, with the added bonus of day long comfort, has made the Lola a “must have” shoe.
Here at Mod Shoes we like to listen to feedback from our customers, and this has led to the development of a vegan, faux patent leather version of this iconic shoe. The striking mauvy purple colour is so rich and vibrant, it really would cheer up a dark winter’s day. Combine with some of our amazing patterned tights for a real statement look!
Many of our lovely customers had told us of their struggles to find vintage shoes that are comfortable. The Lola is based on an original vintage shoe, but with the benefits of modern day construction and comfort. A classic shoe complements so many outfits, retro or modern. The Lola is perfect for weddings, holidays or dancing the night away at a Mod Weekenders!
The Lola has a sturdy 5 cm heel, is of regular width, and has a gel insole for comfort. They are made by our lovely people in Spain, a small factory that make the designs exclusively for us at Mod Shoes.

I normally don’t have to worry about sizes with Mod Shoes but this was my first pair of Lolas and I found that they come up a bit on the larger size. Try both a larger and smaller size to see how you fit into the size. But they certainly will not be my last pair.

Well-my first pair of Lolas did not disappoint! I tried the lavender and although I was hesitant as my wardrobe does not contain much purple shades I am now a lilac convert! So comfortable you do not need to “break them in “ or worry about a week of blisters after one wear! The only problem I have with them is deciding which ones to buy next!
