Here we have The Stomper from Modshoes
These are a monster Brogue shoe, notice the thick leather sole, and blunt square front design. To us they are so evocative of the Northern Soul period. The leather sole is perfect for dancing.
Outfit wise we are thinking jeans, trousers, and oxford bags.

Excellent shoes. Style, quality, comfort and colour all spot on. I’m getting on a bit now and usually have to go for trainers etc for comfort. However, I remember my Casino days fondly and these reminded me of my old much loved oxblood Comos. Decided to try a pair and couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Very good on the dance floor but I wish I had got the next size down than I usually wear would have been a much better fit . Over all a very good shoe for the dancers amongst us

Very satisfied with the comfort and quality of The Stomper I purchased. Oxblood looks amazing even better in the flesh. Shoes are widish. I am normally 8.5 or 9 and the 8 fits me pretty well with a leather insole added. Comfortable from first wear and look like they will last years with a good polish now and again. Service from Modshoes was first class and will be back to order The Prince in oxblood as soon as my size is back in stock.

First of all I’m happy with the shoes . In my opinion just priced about right for the quality . Light in weight , easy to wear and maybe not as robust as they appear . All leather which is good . Colour a bit darker than the pictures but I can’t argue that as colour depends a lot on browser settings etc . I really like the styling and they look better in the flesh than they do on line . Opinions will no doubt vary but as said I’m happy with my purchase and also very happy with the service from Mod Shoes . I’ve bought before and I will no doubt buy again . Thanks .

An excellent shoe. I bought a pair at the Wellingborough Soul weekender. I am a size 11 but as I have a very long middle toe I was wary about sizing and not sure if I should go for a 12. I was able to try them on and found the 11 a great fit. My toes were able to move around without any problem. Andy the boss of Mod Shoes most helpful and friendly and we had a lot of good banter. The shoes fitted perfectly. I wore the shoes that I arrived in, my older Loake loafers, to dance to Sam Evans’ set but decided to change into the Stompers for Ted Massey’s set. They were excellent and comfortable so I kept them on for Mark Freeman’s modern set. I couldn’t have been more happy with the shoes. Excellent sizing, comfortable and ideal for dancing. I didn’t take them off until I got home at the end of the night. I can thoroughly recommend them and to stick to size.
