The snowy sequence in “Help!” (1965), a Beatles film, was shot in the Austrian Alps. Specifically, the scenes were filmed in Obertauern, a small ski resort in Austria. The Beatles spent about two weeks there in March 1965, and it served as the backdrop for the snowy scenes, including the iconic sequence where they ski and sing “Ticket to Ride.”
Obertauern was chosen because it was a relatively quiet location, which allowed the filmmakers to work with some level of privacy and control.
Its where the picture for the front cover of the soundtrack lp was shot, and it is during this session a few pics are taken of them with 2 scarves tied together around all 4 Beatles.
Its a simple design , but a great want for any Beatles fan :-)
