Hot on the heels of our sell-out jumbo corduroy shoes. the “Deighton” and “Terry Rawlings”, we are delighted to present our latest exclusive design, the “Elliot”. Named after top Mod Shoes fan and ultra cool musician Elliot Easton, these jumbo corduroy boots are the epitome of 60’s vintage style.
There are several reasons for wanting to have them made, and here they are

- We had loads of requests from customers
- Brian Jones & Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones can easily be seen in them on the cover of ‘High Tides’
- George Harrison had a pair very similar
- There are numerous 60’s groups wearing them
We designed the shoe with a man made sole as we wanted them to be more adaptable and versatile. They suit both smart and casual, are light, flexible and easy to wear. So we are thinking that there are a multitude of outfits these shoes we will work perfectly with.
The retro camel colour works well with denim, but we also think with white jeans, trousers, shorts, Jacket & trousers for cool mod summer look. It really does depend on the rest of the outfit.

These are slightly slim, so if you are wide, we would strongly advise going up. The style means that by going up, your feet don’t look overly big.

Please Note that are shoes are made mainly in Spain & Portugal and Euro to UK Conversion means that the shoes normally come up a little big. The reason is that a 43, is more like 9 and 1/4.

I bought these a couple of years ago and love them. I’ve a high arch, so they need a bit of cajoling to get on as the actual foot-opening is quite small, but once on they are possibly the most comfy pair of boots I own.

I have been after a pair of corded 60s style boots for ages and these do not disappoint. Not only do they look the business paired with my white jeans or stay press they are really comfy from the off. I have a slightly wide foot but I stayed with normal size and they fit great!

These are the exact pair of boots I had wanted, based on seeing a photo of John Lennon wearing a similar pair as a young lad in the mid-1970’s. As they say, all good things come after a long wait! These cord boots feel as great as they look. Wear them with a pair of jeans, dark rinse 511’s in my case, or suited and booted-you cannot go wrong either way! I Covett these boots as I can’t get any to fit me 😟 I tried the 11 but to narrow, so I tried the 12 and although they fitted better, they were a bit too long in the toe.
Alas I had to concede defeat, the quality and style are excellent, but a slimmer fit for the wide feet breed amongst us.
The customer service is excellent and the returns sheet in the box makes it simple to return and overall, I highly recommend Mod shoes. 😎👍😁

Beautiful boots, been waiting for something like them for a long time! A few years ago I had a pair of cord desert boots which I liked so much that I wore well beyond when they should have gone in the bin. Eventually my wife threw them out; not to worry though, these look even cooler in jumbo cord! I had to use a shoe horn to get them on the first time I wore them as there wasn’t a lot of room to get my foot in, but once they’re on, they’re superb! Having spent way more than is respectable with Mod Shoes in recent months, I resorted to using ClearPay which has actually been really convenient and simple to use, and they keep in touch to remind you when payments are coming out. As ever, the Mod Shoes service is exemplary: they keep you fully informed about delivery and they’re always despatched really quick.

A superb take on 60s corduroy boots. George Harrison had a purple pair (Well he was a Beatle), which he wore from late 1967 to mid 1968. Other celebrities sporting Corduroy desert boots include. Ryan O’Neal and Paul Nicholas when promoting the musical ‘Hair” in September 1968 as well as Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon fame.
Sixties men’s shoes had a sense of elegance and cool, that MOD SHOES have now captured.

Can I possibly review this boot objectively, seeing as it’s named after me? Yes! For a kickoff, the great people at Mod Shoes named it for me out of friendship, and because we like similar stuff, not because I designed it or anything like that. My references are the Linda Eastman photos of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s launch party at Brian Epstein’s flat. Check out Lennon’s shoes. (Google it) It’s Mod Shoes’ take on a ’60’s classic, and Mod Shoes worked very hard to bring this one back from the archives! If you like desert boots, chukka boots etc., then you already know how great this style of boot is. They look so cool on your feet, very comfy, can be worn with nearly anything and are as rare as hen’s teeth, so I would advise grabbing a pair while they last. They’re really good.
