The Loake Brighton is one of the most classic Tassel Loafers still being made. They are still made in England. Loake offer a shoe repair service as well, I have been told the person repairing is normally the person that makes them.
There are various famous wearers of the Loafer. A pair was spotted on Suggs from Madness during the Queens Celebrations this year. He is also wore them for the London Olympics closing Ceremony.
I know several people that have owned these shoes for many years! and have also spoken to MODS from the 60’s that had these Loafers.
The loafer in deep Oxblood looks great with Jeans, Trousers and a Suit. So whether you are out for the evening dressed up or just down the pub these shoes are really good.
