The Dusty
These stylish shoes have a real retro feel and we absolutely love them ! Called “The Dusty” after 60’s icon Dusty Springfield, we feel that these gorgeous shoes will suit those looking for the elegance of 40’s, 50’s and 60’s styling. They look amazing with a dress, but work equally well with jeans or casuals. The Dusty really is the “go to” shoe for any occasion.
If you are looking for a shoe that combines elegance with all day comfort, then the Dusty is the one for you. The heel height is 3 inches, but because of the sturdy block shape, you just don’t feel that “wobble” that makes a more spindly high heel a scary prospect !
You will see from the numerous fab reviews how much our customers love their Dustys. In fact they can prove addictive, many customers come back again and again for more colours to add to their collection.
As far as sizing is concerned, the Dusty is fairly true to normal UK size. If you are between sizes, then probably best to go down rather than up. Width-wise they are generous and should accommodate most widths of feet.
The black patent leather, has such a classic look about it, especially when combined with the contrast white piping. Notice the check detail on the heel, which give the Dusty it’s iconic quirky look. Take a look at the pictures below, and you can see just how unique and beautiful these shoes are.

Sizing Review!
I now own 2 pairs of the dusty shoes. The sizing for me is true to size which is a size 4 (37) personally for me I like to wear them in as such but once you’ve done that they are perfection! Obviously everyone is different but ALL of my shoes are true to size.

I did not get on with these think I should have stuck to my size but went up, a size so wear insoles in them, had to have heel lowered, yes they can be lowered, also had more holes punched in the straps

Soooo love these gorgeous Dusty’s!! Absolutely stunning, very comfortable and great quality, couldn’t be more pleased! Just a word about sizing. The advice is to size down but that didn’t work for me, the size down was too small, and I am usually between a four and a five. The five fits, albeit a bit generous. So you may or may not need to size down.

This is my 3rd pair of mod shoes, they are very comfortable and I always go the size down as suggested ans have never had a problem. The look great and really set any outfit off. I have only worn these 3 times and have notice the inner lining of the right shoe has come unstuck, this has not happened with any of my others so must be a glitch in this pair, it doesn’t detract from the comfort, provided I put it straight before wearing, so a bit of a disapointment with this pair.

I love my shoes. The video recommends getting a size smaller than you normally wear and it is very good advice. I have a wide foot and normally wear a size six but went for a size 5 and that was definitely the way to go.
This isn’t against Mod Shoes but more against APC delivery company and I feel people should be aware. APC only delivers Monday through Friday (no weekend deliveries) 8am to 4pm so if you’re not in, it’s best to get your shoes from a local APC depot which is what I had to do.

Sorry about your experience with APC. We do work closely with them to “Iron Out” problems as they happen.
Its a problem for a lot of courier delivery companies. Meaning they need a signature and the client / customer to be in. At modshoes we can send where ever you want, so relations, work, friend who is at home etc.
Anyone reading this and being worried, please dont as our phone operators can change a delivery address after you have placed an order, and there is a section for shipping to be a different place to home.
