In the Beatles’ second film, shot in colour, the band is seen frolicking in the Bahamas towards the climax. In one scene, they are cycling, eluding the villains. John Lennon is spotted wearing a fab top, which inspired the design we present here.
Further research into the Beatles’ attire revealed Ringo Starr donning what appears to be the same top during their August 1965 tour of America.
This top belongs to our “UK Made” range, and we are exceptionally proud of our domestically produced items.
The fabric is 100% cotton, which is very comfortable to wear. The top is designed to be slightly longer at the back than the front, featuring an elegant ‘Upward V Split’ at the hem.
PLEASE NOTE:
This is the second version of the shirt, now with cuffs matching the collar, true to the film’s design. This version is also a deeper navy than its predecessor. Crafted by the same team, we’ve simply refined a few details.
Sizing
This T-shirt is more fitted than a Gabicci, but comfortably so. Therefore, sticking with your regular size is recommended.

What can I say that has not already been said? Love the fit and feel of this quality garment. Only word of caution – I washed on a hot wash in error and it shrank a little. So annoying but ordered a second one as I like it so much. To be washed cautiously!

I love the top. Great fit. Great look. And comfortable too. Ever since I watched “Help!” for the first time at age 13, I’ve searched for this shirt. I consider it to be the Holy Grail of Beatle gear. At last, it is found! Thank you Mod Shoes/66Clothing!
My only recommendation – in the future, if you ever consider making further adjustments to the garment, I would only suggest making the collar more form fitting, like John Lennon’s (see attached), more like a turtleneck and less like a mock turtleneck. I’d be the first person in line to buy another one if you did.

Everything about the “Help!” shirt is, as always with Mod Shoes, tops in quality and looks! I am especially pleased that the sleeve length is perfect (normally, sleeves on me are just a little too long for my liking, whether they be shirts or blazers, and have to be shortened) as well as the fit (I take Large and though it is slim-fitted, it fits perfectly well). The matching embroidered sleeve ends is a very nice touch as is the dark(er) navy, which I personally prefer. I cannot recommend this shirt enough-get it and you will not be disappointed. And be prepared for the compliments that’ll come your way!

Another perfect fit from 66 clothing. I’m a small and it fits perfect. The material feels nice and soft and I like the V taper at the bottom on the sides, with a slightly longer back than front. Very unique. The details on the neck and sleeves are very well done too. This is version 2 with the details around the cuffs as well as the neck as per the original John Lennon wore. Very happy :)
