The “Luca” is inspired by the cool style of vintage trainers and cycling shoes. It has always been a desire of Mod Shoes to have a retro trainer in our collection, and now we are happy to announce that we have two !

As much as we love smart shoes, we also love the simplicity and casual styling of the old school trainers and cycling shoes.

There were many considerations behind the development of the Luca, a major one being the desire to create footwear that is still looks stylish when you are dressing casually. For those times when you are popping to the pub, going shopping, or out for the day with mates. Also we wanted something that was “old school”. Some high street brands do the odd retro styling, but then make it in tiny numbers, at limited shops, so that 99% of us don’t get a look in. If they do make a retro style, their designers always tweak it and try to appeal to both retro and modern. Our thoughts were it must look authentic and be as simple but as cool as possible.

The Luca is true to size, made of good leather requiring little wearing in. To say we are pleased with the results is an understatement.

In terms of styling , they are perfect with with jeans or shorts. You may notice that we have teamed them up with Gabicci tops, but there are loads of tops that the range of colours will work well with.

Please Note that are shoes are made mainly in Spain & Portugal and Euro to UK Conversion means that the shoes normally come up a little big. The reason is that a 43, is more like 9 and 1/4.
