Pete Molinari is singer songwriter from Chatham Kent. He has made some brilliant records, and we love them, in terms of style think late 50s Early 60s sounding, Johnny Cash , Elvis , Bob Dylan. Pete is a very stylish guy and has many of our shoes and 66 clothing items. He mentioned that he had some very stylish ‘Old School Bowling Shoes’ and we loved them, so as you can guess we have done a version.

We are really happy with the results and think you will love them too. They have a really retro feel about them.

As much as we love smart shoes, we also love the simplicity and casual styling of the old school trainers

There were many considerations behind the development of the trainer, a major one being the desire to create footwear that is still looks stylish when you are dressing casually. For those times when you are popping to the pub, going shopping, or out for the day with mates. Also we wanted something that was “old school”. Some high street brands do the odd retro styling, but then make it in tiny numbers, at limited shops, so that 99% of us don’t get a look in. If they do make a retro style, their designers always tweak it and try to appeal to both retro and modern. Our thoughts were it must look authentic and be as simple but as cool as possible.

The Molinari is true to size, made of good leather requiring little wearing in. To say we are pleased with the results is an understatement.

In terms of styling , they are perfect with with jeans or shorts. You may notice that we have teamed them up with Gabicci tops, but there are loads of tops that the range of colours will work well with.

Sizing Advice – These are roomy, i am 8.5 and had an 8, they wore extremely quickly. After a few days very very comfortable. One of the staff here at Mod Shoes agrees they are easily our most comfortable trainer yet, and he especially likes the padded inner
