This gorgeous, patent leather Mary-Jane style shoe is so evocative of Twiggy and the Swinging 60’s. They come from our fantastic factory in Spain, which has also helped us to create our Lolas and Mariannes, and are renowned for comfort and fabulous quality.
The Prudence has a real retro feel, and is based on an original vintage shoe. We think they would look great with cute 60’s shift dresses or Capri pants, but are also fashionable enough for now. The double strap and big silver buckle really give the Prudence that authentic vintage twist. They have a tiny 1.5 cm heel and a gel cushion inside for day long comfort.
Sizing
These shoes have been developed to suit a normal fitting. They have plenty of “Toe Wiggle Space”. Stick with size. The leather is soft and we think we require little wearing in

I loved the Prudence so much I now have them in 3 colours! I have high and slightly wide feet and these are not too tight unlike a lot of buckle shoes. Very true to size and always get compliments when I wear them.

I absolutely love theses shoes and can’t believe I have only just discovered Mod Shoes. I took advantage of the buy two in different sizes to try but to be honest there was very little difference between a size 5 and 6 so I ended up keeping both (a bit sad I know but they are gorgeous shoes so thought having two pairs they will last longer) They look amazing with cropped trousers. They are really comfortable first time I wore them was on a shopping/pub crawl and they were so comfy. I love them so much I ordered them in the black size 5, they are a little bit tight but have plenty of toe wiggle room so will be fine and look fab with tights (ready for autumn 😊) Having bought a few pairs of tights as well I would definitely recommend the tights as well. Would love to get some of these shoes in other colours.

Very cute, comfy and well made! I will say though that they run a little bit bigger than I was expecting, LOTS of toe room. I probably could have sized down, but the strap should keep that from being too much of a problem. I think these shoes will serve me well in my summer wardrobe.
