Here we have the “Ricky” a brand new and totally exclusive top from 66 Clothing
At Mod Shoes we have a bit of a ‘Beach Boys’ Summer vibe going on at the moment, some bright and warm colours evocative of the Californian surf scene of the 60’s. This fab top is named in homage to Ricky Fataar (Later Drummer), one of the members of the Beach Boys. Its also the nickname for the Rickenbacker Guitar. So it has some great 60’s connections.
There are several great points to note about this top, but one that really stands out is the softness of the material, it is extremely nice to wear. The neck is higher than some polos, and this, of course, was a requirement. Please also notice the collar, again we did this because we wanted a more 60’s feel, not a small collar like so many on the high street.
Styling is completely up to you. Of course we are thinking casual, with jeans, chinos or very smart pair of shorts for a ‘Summer Holiday’ vibe, which will of course, include our Summer Shoe collection. Or you could smarten up with a good pair of fitted trousers and loafers for a 60’s soul or Northern Soul event.
Sizing
These are nice fit, stick with size. I am XL in Gabicci, these are very similar in Pit to Pit and also around the Stomach area. The softness of the material feels good against the skin, lighter than a Fred Perry. I wore mine recently in the fleeting UK sun, and it felt great meaning I didn’t get hot and remained comfortable all day

Very stylish top. I would say that the sizing is a on the slimmer side. I ordered XL thinking it may be too big, but fitted me like a large. The top looks great with dark blue jeans and especially matches well with the blue Ricco trainers.
