Here we have our very popular Shelby Boot now in Tan. The leather on these is the same as we have been using on our Charles Shoes. The Charles, Big Shot use a much more Supple leather, which can also take a polish, as it is full grain. The Leather is supper soft, and requires so little wearing in. You will be very surprised, if like me, you have had boots by other companies which look amazing but take ages (and a lot blisters). I have personally worn these and was pleased to find them bedding in a few hours !
We have upgraded these great boots, with a thicker leather sole. It is twice the thickness, which can be seen in the pics.
As you may know these boots are very popular, and for good reason, they are great to wear, look ace, smart or casual and little wearing in.
These gorgeous boots are very evocative of the Boots worn in TV Program Peaky Blinders, and hence the name The Shelby.
The design has exclusively been made for us, and you wont find these anywhere else. Unlike a lot of brogue boots, these have been made to look “Retro Smart”. Notice the front is a Squarer and , more retro shape.
The oxblood is very subtle, and the leather type means it doesnt need lots of polishing.
They come with a Leather sole, and the leather upper is soft enough to wear straight away.
Sizing & Wearing In
Comparable boots to these can sometimes take weeks to soften up. I wore my sample ones at one night whilst Djing, and was very comfortable more or less straight away. Yes you do that stiff, boots on for the first time, but the leather soon accommodates. I have worn mine loads of times already and very pleased with them.
STICK WITH SIZE, dont go down or up. Width wise they are normal +.
In terms of their looks these will work with a multitude of outfits, inc Jeans, Coloured jeans, Trousers & obviously a suit. We could suggest many colour combination, but a fave would be Prince of Wales, Tweed or Chequered Trousers for that Peaky Blinders look.

Please Note that are shoes are made mainly in Spain & Portugal and Euro to UK Conversion means that the shoes normally come up a little big. The reason is that a 43, is more like 9 and 1/4.

Looked everywhere for a pair of tan brogues. Should have come here first. Absolutely brilliant, so comfortable, the leather is very soft and they don’t need softening up. Can be worn straight out of the box. Colour just right.

I had to wait until these had been re-released and was looking forward to opening the box on Christmas Day. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The colour of these boots is nothing like that of the picture, so I had to return them. Gutted. Mod shoes is a tremendous shop as I have a couple of previous purchases. Customer care was excellent, and I had no problem returning them. I hate leaving a negative review, but I felt that I had to. I will still purchase from Mod Shoes again.

Hi. Pictures have now been updated , there is sometimes an issue with Tannerys , which dye the leather and getting exactly the same colour every time , especially in a lighter colour, can be hard. I.e dark colours you dont notice so much. Sorry about the mix up. Modshoes
